Blood Sickle is documented as a Common Blood Demon Art with five moves that cover several distances: Blood Sickle, Sickle Lunge, Flying Blood, Rotating Circular Slashes and Rampage Arc. The set can pressure close range, approach with hyper armor, fire a cone, cover nearby space and move forward during a long attack.
Moveset roles
Blood Sickle
Three close slashes with the sickles. Use it as the baseline for range, recovery and simple confirmation.
Sickle Lunge
Dash with hyper armor, then slice. Test how far the armor lasts and what can still interrupt or punish the move.
Flying Blood
Fire three projectiles in a forward cone. Distance changes how tightly the projectiles cover one target.
Rotating Circular Slashes
Eight bursts around the user while walking slowly. Use it for nearby space control only after checking escape gaps.
Rampage Arc
Move forward while rapidly slashing. Confirm the route so forward motion does not carry you into a punish.
Start with the baseline slash
Blood Sickle gives the cleanest test of close range. Use it on a stationary target, then against movement and block. Record whether all three slashes connect, where the target ends, and how soon you can defend. This creates a reference for the longer moves.
Do not assume Common rarity means the baseline is weak. A short, repeatable action can be more practical than a rare move with a long windup.
Approach with Sickle Lunge
The card gives Sickle Lunge hyper armor during its dash. Use it to test interruption, not to ignore defense. Hyper armor may let the move continue through ordinary contact while still taking damage, and it may lose to other control types.
Measure startup, travel distance and ending recovery. If the slice misses, return to defense rather than immediately starting Rampage Arc.
Choose projectile distance
Flying Blood fires a three-projectile cone. Close range may concentrate more of the cone; longer range covers lateral movement but can spread away from one target. Test at fixed landmarks so the useful distance is visible.
Projectiles do not automatically make the art safe. Watch startup and recovery, and keep a route for opponents who dash through or around the cone.
Area pressure and long commitment
Rotating Circular Slashes creates eight nearby damage bursts while allowing slow movement. Use it when enemies are already close or forced to remain near the area. Test whether blocking, parry, dash or vertical movement can escape between bursts.
Rampage Arc moves forward with rapid slashes. Confirm its first contact and watch wall behavior. Long moving strings can cross the target, rotate the camera or end in an unsafe position.
Progression and build layers
Raise Blood Level and unlock the moves in the art tree. Complete the heart limit-break minigame at documented milestone levels. Compare the base art before adding a Demon clan, general perk or BDA passive.
The current roster includes effects that reward repeated hits, poison, sustain or art-specific damage. Do not assume every perk is enabled. The Demon Perks guide keeps status labels visible.
Common mistakes
- Using Sickle Lunge as if hyper armor prevented all damage or control.
- Firing the projectile cone from a distance that spreads past the target.
- Starting Rotating Circular Slashes before the opponent is committed nearby.
- Using Rampage Arc at a wall without checking camera and ending position.
- Rerolling a functional Common art solely because of rarity.
A solo and group check
In solo play, compare the cone and circular moves by how reliably they keep one target controlled without leaving you exposed. In a group, watch whether another player’s knockback moves enemies out of Flying Blood or Rampage Arc. Rotating Circular Slashes may cover nearby space, but a long animation can hide attacks from outside the camera. Assign each move a job before joining a party: approach, ranged check, area denial or confirmed damage. Clear roles reduce overlapping knockback and make the Common art easier to evaluate on practical results.
