SLAYER Blood Level Guide

Raise SLAYER Blood Level by consuming eligible enemies or training, diagnose milestone caps, and complete the Demon hideout heart limit break.

Blood Level is the Demon-side progression used to unlock Blood Demon Art moves. The current public card gives two gain routes: eat the bodies of enemies you defeat with the default V binding, and perform Blood training in the Demon hideout. At multiples of five, use the hideout heart minigame to limit break before gaining more levels.

Consume eligible defeated enemies

After defeating an eligible enemy, follow the current consume prompt. The documented PC default is V, but a controller, mobile layout or custom binding can differ. Confirm the body is in the correct state and no menu or chat field owns the input.

Record Blood Level progress before and after one valid consumption. Do not assume every target, assist or despawned body qualifies. If the action fails, check faction, target state, distance and prompt.

Use Demon hideout training

Find the Blood training activity in the current Demon hideout. Complete one run and record the live cost and gain. The card includes a training demonstration, but exact values can change by build.

Use training when body consumption is unreliable or when you want a controlled gain test. Keep enough currency for the next route step instead of repeating until every balance is empty.

Complete heart limit breaks

At levels 5, 10, 15, 20 and later multiples of five, the current card says Blood Level stops. Go to the documented heart in the Demon hideout while at the limit and play its minigame.

If progress is frozen at one of those levels, do not keep consuming bodies or paying for training. Complete the heart activity, then perform one normal gain action and verify that the bar moves again.

Separate Blood Level from the Blood bar

Blood Level unlocks art moves. The Blood bar is a combat resource affected by actions and perks. Normal EXP and training points are additional systems. A kill can interact with more than one system, but that does not make them interchangeable.

When an art node stays locked, inspect Blood Level and the skill tree. When a move cannot be used despite being unlocked, inspect the combat bar and other requirements.

Unlock the selected art

Open M → Character → Skills and inspect the Blood Demon Art tree. Choose a reliable starter, movement tool or guardbreak before a highly committed finisher. Blood Level progression is useful only when the unlocked move improves a route you can execute.

Use the Blood Demon Arts index to compare broad roles, then read the specific art page. Some weapon nodes have special documentation, such as the sword route for Black Lightning.

Combine training and missions

The public FAQ says Play-menu missions reward normal EXP and money. Use missions for those general resources and Blood-specific actions for Blood Level. If one bar moves and another does not, that can be expected rather than a bug.

Plan a loop: mission or combat, eligible consumption, check Blood Level, train when useful, complete the heart limit break at a cap, then unlock the next art move.

Common mistakes

  • Pressing V on an ineligible or already despawned target.
  • Confusing normal EXP, Blood Level and the Blood combat bar.
  • Repeating training at a multiple-of-five cap.
  • Unlocking a late art node without a reliable starter.
  • Assuming a kill-based clan or perk automatically raises Blood Level.
  • Treating an old default binding as universal on controller or mobile.

Verify an unlock without wasting bodies

After a level or limit break, open the art tree before consuming another body. Record which node became available, unlock only the intended move, and place it on the hotbar. Test it with enough Blood resource in a safe area. If the node remains locked, confirm that Blood Level—not normal level—reached the requirement and that the heart minigame completed successfully. This short check prevents repeated consumption or paid training when the actual problem is an unspent node, missing resource or stale server state.

Sources and confidence

Gain routes, the V default and the multiple-of-five heart limit break are community reported from the SLAYER public Trello Blood Level card, last activity observed October 26, 2026. Exact gain values, target eligibility, costs, maximum level and live binding require current in-game verification.
