SLAYER Beginner Guide

Follow a practical first-session route through character creation, tutorial combat, training, Final Selection, Nichirin forging, and Demon progression.

The best SLAYER start is a stable route, not a perfect roll. Join the kriel experience, finish the tutorial, learn one short combat loop, and decide whether you are building a Slayer or Demon before spending limited rerolls. Current public material supports an end-to-end Slayer route from training to Final Selection and Nichirin forging, plus a Demon route based on Blood Level and Blood Demon Art skills.

Step 1: confirm the experience and your route

Use Place ID 134190081223854 and check that the creator is kriel. Similar Roblox names can lead to different controls, codes and progression. Once inside, read the faction and character-creation panels rather than clicking through rarity colors.

Your clan is a passive identity roll. Breathing Styles belong to Slayer progression, while Blood Demon Arts belong to Demon progression. Severance changes how Prowess is converted for a Slayer: current documentation describes Burst for raw skill damage and Limb Severance for draining a demon’s Blood bar. Choose the system you want to learn; do not reroll simply because another result has a brighter label.

Step 2: finish the tutorial prompts

The current tutorial teaches movement, blocking and parrying, an aerial starter, breathing, a style move, and a survival encounter. On PC, public walkthroughs show M for the Familiar/menu interface, Q for dash, F for block or timed parry, E for breathing, and an uppercut followed by a downslam. Use the Controls guide for the full documented sequence.

Practice one link at a time. Block first, then try the timed parry. Use uppercut only after a grounded hit confirms, and attempt the downslam follow-up while the target is airborne. When a prompt asks you to use a Breathing move, refill the resource and watch whether the starter weapon permits the form. The tutorial is teaching conditions, not just buttons.

Step 3: leave the tutorial with a spending buffer

A detailed public-test walkthrough observed the tutorial awarding Wisteria Blossom and Pine Charcoal before sending the player to Frozen Shroud. Item names and rewards can change, so read your current completion screen and inventory. The stable lesson is to keep a Yen buffer for training and required progression instead of buying every form immediately.

Use one training station at a time and note what it raises. Slayer hideout documentation connects Parry Training with Strength, Focus Training and Slicing with Prowess, the Spar Pad with Vitality, and Blade Training with Agility. Demon training uses a Blood Shrine for Strength, Focus Training for Prowess, and a Boxing Pad for Vitality. The Training Points guide explains caps and reset items.

Step 4: follow the Slayer route

If you chose Slayer, train until basic survival feels reliable, then queue for Final Selection through the current menu. A public walkthrough observed solo and party options and a dark mountain trial. It also found conflicting objective text: the description mentioned 15 minutes and 15 demons, while the active objective and successful clear used 10 demons before dawn.

Follow the active in-match objective and do not promise your party that an older number is final. Dying can return the group to the hub, so bring a route you can execute without relying on one fragile combo. The Final Selection guide covers preparation, the conflict, solo-versus-party choices and recovery.

After a successful clear, the observed route awards Nichirin Ore. Use the Familiar/menu world travel to reach Ivory Passage and find the Blacksmith objective. Forging a Nichirin Katana is the documented gate for using Breathing forms that reject the wooden starter blade. Confirm the new weapon appears in your loadout before buying or testing more forms.

Step 5: follow the Demon route

Demon progression uses Blood Level to unlock Blood Demon Art moves. Current Trello documentation says you can advance it by eating defeated enemies with the default V binding or by doing Blood training in the Demon hideout. At level multiples of five, advancement pauses until you complete the heart minigame used for limit breaking.

Open the menu, then check Character → Skills for the Blood Demon Art tree. Unlock moves in an order you can actually practice. A mobility or reliable starter may be more valuable than the final-looking node when your basic combat loop is still inconsistent. Read Blood Level and the Blood Demon Arts index before spending rerolls.

Step 6: build one repeatable combat loop

Start with defend, confirm, punish, exit. Hold block while learning a string. Attempt a timed parry on a predictable hit, use a short M1 sequence or confirmed skill, then dash out before the opponent recovers. Add guardbreak only when the opponent is actually blocking.

Avoid using every move as soon as it leaves cooldown. Long animations, guardbreaks and hyper armor each have different risks. The Combo guide gives a practice ladder, and the Parry guide explains why latency and multi-hit attacks change the timing.

Common early mistakes

  • Spending all rerolls before understanding faction locks, pity displays and stop conditions.
  • Treating normal EXP, training points and Breathing/Blood Level as the same progress bar.
  • Entering Final Selection with no reliable defense because a damage combo worked on a dummy.
  • Buying a Breathing form before forging the weapon required to use it.
  • Copying a controller table whose platform labels are visibly inconsistent instead of following the live prompt.
  • Assuming a public-testing value is permanent after a server or Trello update.

What to do after the first clear

Choose one system to deepen. Slayer players can advance Breathing Level, learn a style moveset, and improve Final Selection consistency. Demon players can advance Blood Level, unlock an art tree and compare perks. Both should add training points gradually and keep a small record of costs, objective text and move behavior.

Use Clans for passive choices, Breathing or Demons for ability routes, and Updates when a title suffix or documentation change suggests the current build has moved.

Sources and confidence

The route is based on the current public SLAYER Trello and a detailed October 19, 2026 public-test walkthrough. Identity and creator are official Roblox facts. Tutorial controls, rewards, costs, Final Selection goals and unlock results are update-sensitive; follow the current prompt when it differs.
