SLAYER Demon Clans

Compare SLAYER Demon clans by their documented sustain, pressure, defense, matchup and Blood effects without inventing live odds.

SLAYER’s documented Demon clans begin with Common and Uncommon names that have no listed buff, then branch into passives for defense, sustained pressure, poison, parry response, low-health recovery and player combat. Read the activation condition before rerolling: the best result for a Blood Demon Art route depends on how you actually create openings.

Current Demon clan roster

Common

Wakuraba, Susumaru, Mukago, Rokuro, Yahaba, Kamanue

The current card lists no buffs. They remain valid baseline results while you learn the Demon route.

Uncommon

Kaigaku, Enmu, Kyogai

No buff is listed. Preserve rerolls if the next guaranteed threshold is unclear.

Rare

Gyokko, Daki, Rui

Documented roles: periodic hit absorption, high-health aggression with a low-health burden, and repeated-hit scaling.

Rare

Gyutaro, Nakime, Hantengu

Documented roles: poison buildup, a parry-powered next hit, and a low-health split/recovery with a long cooldown.

Legendary

Kokushibo, Akaza, Doma

Documented roles: nearby splash damage, player-kill scaling for the current life, and frost stacks on one target.

Mythical

Kibutsuji

Demon King's Blood is documented with regeneration, damage reduction, and Blood/health restoration on kills.

This is a currently documented roster, not a verified odds table. The card names exact passives, but live balance can change. Check the roll result and passive panel before spending more resources.

Match the clan to your fight pattern

Rui and Doma both reward staying on the same target, but through different documented mechanics: quick repeated hits versus frost stacks. Nakime rewards a successful parry followed by a prompt punish. Gyokko reduces part of a periodically selected incoming hit, which can help survival without requiring an offensive sequence.

Daki asks you to manage a risk curve. Its documented bonus applies at high health, while very low health carries extra damage taken. That makes recovery and disengagement more important than chasing a final hit. Hantengu also reacts to low health, but through a long-cooldown recovery event. Test cooldowns and triggers in the live build before relying on either during a difficult activity.

Rare clan decisions

Gyutaro’s poison buildup favors consistent contact. It is most useful when your art or M1 route can land the required sequence without being interrupted. Nakime fits a defensive player who can produce parries. Rui fits pressure that resets quickly after a miss. Gyokko is easier to value when you can observe its defensive cue and cooldown.

Do not compare a passive only on maximum damage. A defensive or recovery effect can create more complete attack opportunities over a long fight. Record how often the condition actually occurs during your normal route.

Legendary and Mythical roles

Kokushibo’s documented crescents spread a portion of damage to nearby foes, making target grouping relevant. Akaza increases damage against players and adds life-limited scaling after player kills, so it is not a universal PvE answer. Doma builds frost stacks on a foe and rewards continued focus.

Kibutsuji is the documented Mythical clan, with regeneration, damage reduction and restoration on kills. Those effects sound broadly useful, but rarity odds and pity costs remain unverified. Stop on a result that solves your actual weakness rather than treating one Mythical as the only playable endpoint.

Combine clan and Blood Demon Art deliberately

Start with the art’s range and commitment. Destructive Death stays close and uses punches, kicks, guardbreak and a buff. Black Lightning includes dashes, a field, projectiles and a sword sequence. Blood Sickle combines approach, projectiles and circular area damage. A clan that rewards repeated hits or parries may fit one route better than another.

Use the Blood Demon Arts index and the relevant move page before rolling for a theoretical combination. Avoid copying a “best build” that assumes a disabled perk, a different severance, or unverified values.

How to test a clan passive

Remove extra variables where possible. Use the same enemy, move, level and perk setup. For damage reduction, compare the same attack. For a repeated-hit effect, record each connected hit and the reset window. For kill restoration, compare Blood and health immediately before and after a valid kill.

If a number differs from the Trello description, record the live result and date rather than forcing the older value. Do not infer an odds percentage from a few personal rolls.

Common mistakes

  • Evaluating a PvP-only condition during PvE.
  • Ignoring a passive burden or low-health downside.
  • Comparing one clan with a different art, perk or stat setup.
  • Continuing to reroll after a useful result without knowing the next pity threshold.
  • Calling a roster complete after an update adds or removes a card.

Sources and confidence
